As the Group Chief Enterprise Architect at Transnet Limited, Kevin Govender's key responsibilities include Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Research and Innovation.

Kevin Govender is the Group Chief Enterprise Architect at Transnet Limited. His key responsibilities include Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Research and Innovation. The objective of Strategy and Enterprise Architecture is to translate Transnet’s vision and strategy into effective business capabilities, services and provide strategic direction and leadership to guide strategic initiatives.

Previously, he acted as Transnet's Group Chief Business Architect. His role focused on integrating and aligning Business and IT to achieve business results and objectives. One crucial aspect of that role was leveraging business architecture as a conduit for engaging with business leaders, and understanding the ripple effect of business changes on people, process, information and technology.

He also acted as the Human Capital Management (HCM) Programme Executive at Transnet. In that position, he led and directed the HR Transformation Programme, which was a strategic initiative tasked with consolidating and standardizing the policies, processes, systems, controls and data from seven disparate systems across Transnet and its Operating Divisions into a single solution for the Transnet Group. 

He has also acted as the Transnet Business Intelligence Programme Executive. There, his focus was to lead and direct the Transnet Business Intelligent (TBI) Programme, which was a strategic initiative tasked with facilitating the availability of relevant, accurate, timely, consistent information to support executive decision making by improving the processes & solutions to enable information management.

His experience is attributed to the various roles he has played in the other organizations prior to joining Transnet, namely Ernst & Young, Discovery, Accenture, Nedcor and Unilever. He has extensive experience in Strategy, Business Intelligence, Business Advisory, Management Consulting, Portfolio and Programme Management, SAP Assurance and Implementation, and implementing Turnaround and Transformational programmes.
